Who We Are
Three Generations. One Standard of Excellence.
For more than 70 years, Troutman Sign Graphics has kept a simple promise: deliver designs that are visually dynamic, community-minded, and never anything less than perfect. We're a family business, and that means every project carries our name — so we treat it that way.
It started with Howard Troutman, who hand-lettered commercial cards during the local news on black-and-white television — a craftsman at work before most people knew what graphic design was. His son Tom picked up the trade by age 10, hand-lettering storefronts and windows for local businesses across Paducah. Some of that work still graces the buildings and windows of multi-generation businesses today.
Troutman Sign Graphics is now a proud third-generation business. Family members have stepped in to carry the craft forward, blending the timeless standards Howard set with the tools and technology of today. The name on the door hasn't changed — and neither has the commitment behind it.
Where We Are
Rooted in Paducah
Paducah, Kentucky is more than our address — it's our home. A beautiful river town steeped in culture, history, and community pride, Paducah is known the world over as Quilt City USA. Its old buildings, century-deep family roots, railway heritage, and riverboat stories are woven into everything we do.
We moved from our original 2nd Street location in the late 1970s to our current home at 534 S. 6th Street — a building with a story of its own. It once housed a Coca-Cola facility, survived the Great Flood of 1937, served as a Dodge dealership, and even contained living quarters at one point. Like Paducah itself, it has weathered a lot and come out stronger for it.
